Biosecurity at Sandhills Alpacas Farm –

We do all we can to maintain strict biosecurity to protect both our herd and our farm visitors. Visitors are kindly asked to clean and disinfect their footwear at our disinfection stations. Foot dips will be provided with Fam 30 disinfectant.

Alpacas are to be walked across a disinfection mat on entry to the breeding barn. Where they can enter the holding pen offering fresh water and hay.

The pens are power washed after every mating and sprayed with Fam 30 disinfectant.

Mating’s will be conducted with both male and female wearing a spit mask for added protection.

Stud services at Sandhills Alpacas Farm –

We offer a live birth guarantee with every mating up to a 48 hrs post birth.

If the female should lose the pregnancy or the cria perish due to natural causes before that time, we will re-mate as soon as it is mutually convenient at no cost.

This young males colour is just amazing and just had to be seen to be believed. He is a from our appaloosa breeding programme and his sire is Popham Appaloosa Helios, also a herd sire at Sandhills.

Hotspot is a stunning male full of top quality genetics and will be starting his working career early 2023.

Firenze has superb uniformity of colour, highly organised fleece which has a wonderful buttery handle. 

Firenze has only had one progeny as we are concentrating on breeding spots. Marmaduke can be seen on the farm and is looking very promising. He will be shown this year.
